Yes, it was truly lovely. I am trying to upload a slideshow of my pictures that I hope captures the feeling I had of riding through France.
Yves was quite special. The first night in France after a long ride down from Roscoff. I found a place to camp at Yves, off the main road, that must be one of the most peaceful places on earth - until the sun goes down! I had a mild throat infection and drifted off to sleep in a fever-induced fuzzy state of mind - to be woken up soon after by the din of a thousand croaking frogs!!I shall remember it it as 'the night of the frogs' - which I have to say was not as bad as 'the night of the mosquito's' that followed at Pau!
None of this, however, detacted from the absolutely wonderful time I had while I was in France.-

You would have passed very close to where I live - about midway between Yves and Bordeaux.
