Wow! I wouldn't normally start a comment trail on my own blog but these are exceptional circumstances.

Yesterday there were a unprecedented 510 hits on my blog! - getting on for half the total visits since I started in April. Closer inspection showed these were made by a total of 9, yes just 9, visitors!

on saturday I had yet another bike taken from outside my flat and then I read the post about your puncture so I girded my loins (plus a few pelvic floor exercises ) in much the same way as I imagined you would and resolved the next day (yes even on a sunday) to remedy the transport situation. So sorry to hear about your puncture. Can't help with 2cv tyres etc - Have you thought of breakers yards? They are sometimes open on Sundays.
